Request a quotePricing & quotations
How much does pressure washing cost?
Pricing depends on the size and type of surface, degree of soiling, access, special treatments and any aftercare. We do not publish an invented fixed rate.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Sometimes photographs and measurements are enough for an initial quotation. Delicate or complex surfaces may require an assessment.
Do you charge for travel?
Any travel or minimum call-out costs should be confirmed in the individual quote.
Is re-sanding or sealing included?
Only when it is explicitly included in the agreed scope. These are distinct stages and not automatic parts of every wash.
Surfaces & results
Is pressure washing suitable for all surfaces?
No. Soft stone, old pointing, painted render, timber and damaged materials can be harmed by inappropriate pressure. A gentler method or no washing may be advisable.
Can you remove all algae, moss and lichen?
Many surface deposits can be reduced, but staining and lichen may require specialist treatment and cannot always be completely removed.
Will my patio or driveway look brand new?
Cleaning does not reverse wear, fading, cracks or discolouration within the material. Results depend on the original condition.
How often should outdoor surfaces be cleaned?
It varies with shade, nearby planting, weather, drainage and use. There is no universal cleaning interval.
Appointments & preparation
Do I need to supply water or power?
Requirements depend on equipment and the job. Water and electricity arrangements should be confirmed beforehand.
Do I need to move garden furniture?
Please mention heavy items or anything fixed in place so preparation can be agreed before arrival.
What happens if the weather is poor?
Conditions such as frost, very heavy rain and unsuitable temperatures may affect safety and scheduling.
Do I need to be present?
Not always. It depends on safe access, supply arrangements and any permissions needed.
Commercial enquiries
Can cleaning take place outside business hours?
This depends on availability and site requirements and must be agreed before scheduling.
Can you work around pedestrians and vehicles?
Traffic, access and segregation arrangements need assessment. Some sites will require specialist planning or controls.
Can you provide a recurring cleaning schedule?
Repeat work can be discussed, but suitability and availability must be confirmed for the site.
Materials, preparation and aftercare
Does block paving need fresh jointing sand afterwards?
Pressure washing can remove some jointing sand. Whether re-sanding is needed depends on the existing joints and the cleaning method. If relevant, confirm that it is included in the scope rather than assuming it is standard.
What if my patio has loose pointing or cracked slabs?
Report visible damage before cleaning. Washing can dislodge loose material or worsen existing defects, and repairs may be sensible before any treatment.
Can you remove oil, rust or black spot completely?
Not in every case. Results depend on how deeply marks have penetrated, how old they are and which treatments are appropriate for the surface. A small test may be more informative than a universal promise.
Can wooden decking be pressure washed?
Timber can be damaged by high pressure, which raises grain or causes splintering. A gentler method may be suitable after checking board condition and any existing finish.
Should exterior surfaces be sealed immediately after cleaning?
Not automatically. Sealants have different requirements, and a surface must be suitable, properly prepared and sufficiently dry. Sealing should be discussed as a separate decision.
Does exterior cleaning fix damp or drainage problems?
No. Cleaning addresses suitable surface deposits. Recurring moisture, leaks and defective drainage require investigation and, where necessary, repairs.
Still unsure about your surface?
Send the details rather than guessing at the method. We can discuss the most suitable next step.
