Details that can change the method and cost
Two patios of the same size may need very different work. A level porcelain terrace with clear access is different from aged natural stone with loose mortar joints and extensive algae. A good enquiry helps identify those differences before a price is discussed.
Please mention existing sealant, paint, previous repairs or cracks; whether vehicles or furniture need moving; and where the nearest practical water point is. For driveways, note whether the paving is block, concrete, tarmac or resin-bound. For timber, include the type and condition of the boards.
